Northeast Italy hides a region with a special status. It is called Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Due to the variety of customs, borderline location, mixed cultures and many other factors, a visit to Friuli-Venezia Giulia will turn into tons of the most vivid, tasty and positive experiences.

Day 1

We will meet in Udine (or Trieste, if agreed).

Udine is a city of ancient taverns and osteria. Accompanied by our guide, you will walk around the city and participate in the fabulous gastronomic ritual of this city.

It rito del tajut. Every Friuli citizen has a habit of whetting his appetite hours before lunch or dinner. A glass of wine and local delicacies are the best choices to join locals in their ritual.

Then, we will have a great lunch in the oldest restaurant in the city. Since 1849 not much has changed here. It is still beautiful, elegant and offers delicious dishes.

Right after lunch, we will visit the production of the world-famous delicacy, the pride of the region - prosciutto San Daniele Dop. This masterpiece differs from other types of Italian “prosciutto” in a special manufacturing method: the leg and hoof remain intact. You will learn the secrets of production and ageing, make yourself a new profile photo on the unbelievable “prosciutto” background and taste this masterpiece, of course!

Transfer to Pordenone. Here you will be at great risk of devoting your heart to this city.

We will settle in a charming villa just a few kilometres from the city centre.

Dinner on your choice:

• beautiful and romantic restaurant with local cuisine, prepared in a modern way. A place of culinary discoveries which even a gourmet can hardly resist.

OR

• classic agriturismo with traditional cuisine. All the crucial ingredients of local cuisine will be on your plate, it’s for sure.

Day 2

Breakfast.

Are you eager to see where local cheese and the best natural ice cream are manufactured? We have already come up with this delicious tour for you!

Guided tour and tasting at our favourite cheese factory.

Then, fish lunch with the freshest seafood in a beautiful place will be waiting for you. Raw shrimp are especially tasty here, be sure to try them!

Winery. You’ve dreamed about this place. This tiny area is characterized by a huge variety of landscapes and is proud of many magical wine bouquets. We will participate in the most interesting wine-tour here with tasting, of course.

We will check into a boutique hotel, which delights 100% of our tourists.

This hotel has its winery and home restaurant. So, the plan for the evening is ready!

Day 3

Breakfast.

Master class of local cuisine! The chef will help us to prepare a traditional lunch. Local cuisine is a stunning mix of Austria, the Veneto and Friuli regional tastes. The dishes are highly seasoned with spices and aromatic herbs. It will be interesting to everyone, despite the age, gender, and profession. Even those who hate cooking will find here lots of interesting information.

We will have lunch with self-cooked dishes.

Then, guided walk-tour to the city of Trieste, the capital of the region. This city is not like any other Italian city - it's simultaneously bright, colourful, diverse, elegant, sincere and mysterious. Keep your cameras charged!

A final glass of wine and time to say “goodbye!”
